Review: Logitech M171 Mouse

This post was previously posted on my personal blog site on August 14, 2017. I’m reposting it here today.

Today, after days of testing and comparing, I’m proud to introduce the first review article for my blog: the Logitech M171 mouse, which I unboxed several days ago. What’s under that stylish design? That mystery is to be solved below…

  • Sound

Actually, this mouse makes such a loud noise when clicking, even when you scroll the middle wheel. I suggest buying a silent mouse instead of this one.

  • Technologies

This mouse includes Logitech’s Invisible Optics technology, which the optic sensor will not emit red light (laser light) when it’s on. (Microsoft’s mouse with BlueTrack technology emits blue light when operating.)

  • Design and Comfortably

With the sleek new design on the sides of the mouse featuring geometric shapes, you’ll love the extra comfort as compared to other cheaper mice! However, if you want more comfort when you hold your mouse, I suggest buying Microsoft’s Sculpt series mouse with ergonomic designs for much more comfort. I especially like the geometric shapes on the sides of mouse.

  • Use in computer

When you use this mouse in a computer, it won’t lag, compared to Microsoft’s Arc Touch mouse. When I’m using the Microsoft Arc Mouse on Windows 10 PCs (yes, I mean PCs since I’ve tried it twice on two PCs), it just lags after some time of usual usage. The Logitech mouse won’t lag after all. (That’s why Logitech says that their mice are selling in 1st place.)

  • Final thoughts

I would rather say, that this mouse is ingenuously, and comfortably designed, beautifully crafted, and very useful. I can’t imagine that this mouse was sold for only $299 in Taiwan!! (The price in CHF is much higher, according to Logitech’s official website.)
