Reflection of Ceramic Garden

First I used a wire cutter to cut out how much clay I needed, but I didn’t know if I took too little or too much clay. Then I put the clay on the canvas. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to make at first, then I just decided to do a flower. I used the needle tool to carve out the flower petals, and I realized that it was taking too long and the flower petals looked quite weird.

So I just made a cactus since it was quite easy and it only took a short time to make it. I had to mould the clay into a cactus shape and it was quite hard because the clay was kind of hardening so i took the spray bottle and sprayed my clay to make it wet and softer.

I used the carving tool to make the lines of a cactus and used water mixed with clay to make the clay smoother so it doesn’t look so messy. After making the clay cactus, I used the needle tool to scratch the bottom of the clay and the flower pot. I also wet the scratched part, then i sticked the cactus to the scratched part of the flower pot.

I smoothed out the parts where it was messy and carved out the bottom of the flower pot because it was too thick and it will not dry quickly.
