Today is the official start of our chem inventory CAS project!!! I’m super excited about this!!!
So we had tons of progress today. Out of the 15 types of chemicals that we need to sort, we finished 2 of them. The inventory process went extraordinary well, though before then we have to clean the cabinets, which were GROSS. That was indeed a little challenge before the relatively easy inventory process but fortunately with the help from Graciana and Mindy I was able to get through that part fast. As such, I am fortunate that I have these two close friends as my group mates throughout the CAS project. Without them, even a simple inventory process would take FOREVER to complete with that vast amount of chemicals that we need to sort out.
As the spreadsheet master of this project, I was the one who inputted the vast majority of the chemicals in today. That process was extremely easy, and I also had Graciana helping me to input some of them along the way, which helped to speed up the process. Due to the successful nature of this process, I will not be re-evaluating my approaches since it’s already perfect.
