Throughout the poetry unit that we have just completed recently, we did extensive work in order to improve our poetry skills, in the aspects of writing, listening, and performing. For the performing section, we did multiple readings of poems in front of our computer, as well as performing some in front of a real audience. For the listening section, we practiced listening to poems and write out our single dominant expression as well as analyzations of the poem right on spot. Lastly, we wrote 2 poems, one as a personal poem and another a memoir that were required to performed in front of a group of audience. This was very challenging, but I managed to excel it with mind-grabbing poems as well as an interesting format of performance. This is why the audience members cheered after I have done with my performance! I especially loved the memoir about my trip to Hokkaido recently! Check it out at the poems part of this post.
