What’s In Our Hearts.

In this unit there are a lot of free-writes, essentially a unit of free expression of yourself and your voice. We did some peer reviews and some self reviewing as well as perspective practice. I wrote my own belief piece and made it into a video, it was quite a strange experience but one I found refreshing to be able to do at school. I deviated a bit off of the “positive vibes,” but I do believe that it’s something that is deeply personal to me.

File too large. We’re supposed to talk about new techniques however so I’ll do it here. There are a few new techniques I implemented actually, mainly the one where I dropped my phone off a wall with a string attached to it. Instead of just moving my phone, this creates a better sense of falling off a place, which I wanted to really make significant during that part. There was also some very small editing with the music on the video, where I wanted to very specifically time the climax of the song to the sunset of the video, it creates the feeling of a gradual rise which I wanted to present. Another thing is the use of transitions, and occasionally letting some of the noise from the original clip into the final cut. Like the punching scene, where I let the sound of the punch into the video, it gives a feeling of actually being punched and I wanted to have that present. Overall there are many small details otherwise unrecognizable.
