During our presentation I noticed many things, from both my partner’s words and my own. It was interesting of what people thought of academic honesty, how it was really important to be honest with yourself. I don’t understand why it is important to be honest with yourself, I think getting a good result would be more important than honesty. Reality has always been the strong survives and I believe that if stealing would help you achieve a better result, then you should do it as long as you have the means to not get caught.

Also doing this as a group work was quite annoying because you had to work with everyone’s time, for me, this blog post was long overdue because both of my partners was gone at different times which meant our presentation had to be delayed. And also I wasn’t completely sure how they would carry the presentation which meant I wouldn’t know how to do my part so that I can connect better with theirs. It’s like singing, if my partner had added certain notes then I would harmonize incorrectly. But working with a group also meant that I wouldn’t have to do the entire presentation which meant more work for me, annoying but yes, working with a group would give me the advantage on time.

I feel like academic honesty should follow the code of stealing in Sparta, the reason you would be punished would not be because you were stealing but because you were caught. It would be much more realistic and much more benefitial for students if it was taught this way, to steal and not get caught to yield the greatest results. Because of this I would not agree with the KAS’s academic policies becasue I think the consequences are because of the wrong reasons.

I also forgot the time limit during the presentation because in the rush to complete the work in the best way possible I completely forgot that a time limit was present which messed up our entire presentation.

That’s pretty much all I learned this presentation, and although I know the current society would never follow my suggestions on academic honest, I still think the current system is flawed and instead of building character you should also build intelligence and cunningness to help the individual
