I’ve recently felt that poetry really makes my reflective experiences better, mainly because not only is it a form of creativity itself, it showcases my reflective style through its little details sprinkled throughout. I think I’ll be reflecting in poetry form from now on until I find it unsuitable.
I will preface it that I’ll be reflecting on IB learning statement 7 and reflecting on creativity experiences.

Brief Explanation: The first stanza is long. And it is a description of how a writer could feel while expressing their creativity in writing, and how they could be writing to feel more for themselves than for others. But then slowly moving we go into the second half of the stanza, where it’s about the crushing weight of a laurel, which stands for the IB, and how it drowns out our creativity and expression until slowly there’s nothing left at the bottom of the figurative ocean.
