If your Airplay icon is disappearing, check to see if you are in mirroring mode.
Step 1
Open settings and double click on displays.
Step 2
Check “Show mirroring options ..” at the bottom of the window.
After doing this, you should be able to see your Airplay icon. If you cannot, another possible fix is to close unnecessary open apps.
