Where in the World?

Move The World

How did you learn about geography? With the resources available today, is there a way to make it more engaging?

Lulu has led her class on a series of Mystery Skype calls with other classes. The classes on the other side of the video were anywhere in the world, and the students on both sides had to ask Yes/No Questions and try to pinpoint where the other class was within 20 questions.

I noticed right away how engaged the students were, how they started to absorb and use geography vocabulary in the flurry to win the game, and use the clues they received to hone in on the other class’s location.

I wish I had a chance to learn geography this way.

Note: Skype is just one of many video chatting programs you could use.
