In this blog post, I’ve investigated the handbooks from three different international schools in Taiwan to know how do their consequences and philosophy differ. The two sections I focused on is the Academic Honesty Policy and the school’s mission statement. In an educational school, I believe the most important and fundamental policy is Academic Integrity. Without integrity, students and faculties wouldn’t be able to remain sincere to themselves, and a community would eventually collapse. On the other hand, a mission statement shows a school’s expectation of students. Although many schools ultimate objective is to cultivate useful and successful individuals for the future, but their teaching method may differ.
