For students nowadays, not wearing the clothes with the right dress code or the right uniform to school have become a common mistake that should be fixed. Students often showed a careless manner on this issue and thought it’s not a problem to wear whatever they want to school at all. However, for a junior who currently studies at I-Shou International School (IIS) and lives at its dormitory at Kaohsiung, forgetting to pack her formal uniform for the weekly assembly on Fridays is a total apocalypse.

Candy Chen has studied in IIS for four years and is starting the junior year as her fifth. She stays at the dorm during the weekdays and only returns her home at Tainan during the weekend. On September 5, 2016, she found out she forgot her formal uniform. As a student who rarely broke the rules in school, she described the delivery of her uniform as “crucial” for her student career.

Why would she forget her uniform if she claimed herself as such a responsible student? Due to the unexpectedly stormy weather, clothes take longer to dry. However, that shouldn’t be an insoluble problem, because the uniform could be dried out via other ways. The answer takes us back to the most heard excuse given from the students: their forgetfulness. Forgetfulness leads to troubles frequently, and it shouldn’t be a reasonable excuse. Thus, irresponsibility and negligence are the real root causes of forgetting things.

To not break her record of always wearing the right clothes to school, Candy Chen called her dad immediately after she realized her forgotten uniform. To deliver it to school successfully, her dad decided to wake up at six, pack her uniform up, drive to the school bus stop of IIS, and hand it to the bus supervisor, Ms. Yang. While the problem is solved, Candy Chen realized how much trouble she had caused her family and surroundings. Whether it’s simply because of her forgetfulness or her irresponsibility, her family and supervisor just saved her from her kind of the end of the world.
