At the beginning of August, the whole Stuco team went on a day trip to Kenting as a team-bonding activity. It was a really fun trip filled with exciting activities, and I’m glad I had my first sand tractor and paintballing experience with this group of amazing people. We spent pretty much the whole day in this place called Harry Potters that offers a variety of activities, such as sand tractors, paintballs, human hamster balls, and tightrope biking. We ended up paintballing and riding the sand tractors. But even with just two activities, I felt exhausted after the long day, haha!

Riding the sand tractor under in the mud turned out to be the most fun thing ever. The whole ride was an hour, and it was filled with nonstop screaming and laughter. A truly enjoyable experience. After that, we went paintballing. I didn’t like paintballing that much compared to the sand tractor, mostly because I was too afraid to attack hahah. And once you’re idle for too long, the mosquitos come do their work 😡 The mosquitos there were those especially problematic types that leave your skin itchy 24/7 and swollen. Other than the problematic mosquitoes, I loved the trip super much. My first ever sand tractor experience turned out to be a huge success even though I drove into the tree branches and bumped into Sandy’s car several times hahahaha. As a conclusion to the trip, we went to a local ice shop in Kenting and just chatted for a bit. I haven’t gone outdoor and been surrounded by this many people during the summer for so long, so it feels really nice to be reconnecting with them before school starts.

Being surrounded by so many amazing people made me realize my own insufficiency in many different ways. The ability to lead and take care of a large group of people; the ability to keep everything so organized while having fun; the ability to work with a large group of people; and simply the ability to enjoy the moment… these are all skills that I wish I can be better at and carry on in my life. I became more caring and selfless as I learned to put my reservations aside. I found myself the happiest around others when I truly put myself entirely out and cared for each other. Nonetheless, I can’t wait to see how much we can accomplish in the upcoming school year as a Stuco team! Huge thank you to Mr. Carter for arranging this trip!
