1. Double, double toil and trouble

By William Shakespeare

This poem is my favorite poem since I’m little because this is what my mom read to me as a bedtime story when I’m just in first grade. My mom read this to me because it sounds interesting with rhyme scheme and it isn’t too difficult for kids to understand. So since first grade, my mom started to read it to me until fifth grade. To now, when I’m reading this poem, I still remember the happy time before going to bed with my mom with this poem as a background. That is the most lovely time in my childhood.

2. How do I love thee?

By Elizabeth Barrett Browning

I chose to record this poem because the poet Elizabeth Barrett Browning is my mother’s favorite poet. When I’m little, my mother often read this poem to me because my mom said this poem kind of sums up the relationship between her and my father.
