CAS sounds like a drea…m come true, where I can motivate myself to try something new while making it count as schoolwork. My long term CAS goal is to eventually adopt a healthier lifestyle. This leads to my first CAS experience: making working out a daily routine. Although I’m a morning person, it isn’t particularly easy to work out according to plan. Before actually carrying out my plan, I’ve been planning a fitness journal that helps me to keep track of my plans and my actions.
During my investigation process, I did more research than I expected myself to. I discovered how there’s much more knowledge in working out than I could ever imagine. For instance, the best time in a day to work out, whether to eat or not after working out and the different effects based on the type of workout are all things I’ve never considered to read into. I found out interesting things such as the morning is the best time to work out since the fat is usually being stored during the night when nothing is being consumed.
To keep myself organized, I’ve started to make a bullet journal in order to plan out my tasks as well as formulating my workout plan. After some extensive research and planning, I’m officially starting my workout next Monday, September 16th. Wish me luck!
Besides activity, I’ve also been working on Model United Nations (MUN) as part of my creativity and service strands. This December, KAS is hosting the 11th annual session of STMUN. As one of the Secretariats, I’m in charge of preparing the conference from scratch, from coming up with global issues that the participants will discuss about to contacting schools and designing webpages. Since we’re still in preparatory stage, a lot of work are still in progress and are considered to be confidential. However, so far, the website, designed by me, is pretty much done and ready to go!
