Flip! and Explore the World:)

Imagine reaching the other side of the Pacific within seconds! Even though technology is so developed and advanced nowadays, it still amazes me to be able to reach to another continent with one. simple. click. It’s such a waste to have such technology and not using it often enough, isn’t it? Well, never knew Lang. & Lit class treats us well! It’s lit (bear with my puns ;)) as it allows us to get to know someone from Ohio, somewhere I’ve never been and possibly won’t have the opportunity to visit.

My BMSA partner’s name is Mario. As I explored his blog and flipboard, I immediately realized how we are immensely different. I’ve never considered myself a social person, but I guess we’ll somehow get along? (at least I truly hope so!)

Soooooo eventually, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and be the one to initiate the conversation (which I rarely do). I guess it wasn’t as scary as I’ve imagined or thought. He’s nice, he’s easy to talk to, but I’m still worried about the road ahead: running out of topics, sounding awkward like I always am, not being able to get along with him…We share all types of differences, from different tastes in books and movies to subjects that we like. While getting sort of a headache because I can’t seem to find any similarities, I’m surprised see how people our age has already determined what kind of career they want to pursue in the future and the colleges they want to get in. While reading his flipboard, I can see he already knows how he wants to get into either Berkeley, Case Western Reserve, and Ohio State University. It’s not that I’m not considerate about my future, but I still have many thoughts and am indecisive about what am I doing in the future. In terms of the differences, I guess the infographic attached below is pretty self-explanatory :D. Nevertheless, I’m glad that we both listen to EDM! While he enjoys inventing and to “come up with innovative ways of solving problems”, which might be referring to solving problems that are related to science and technology, I think it’s still somewhat similar to how I’m passionate in brainstorming new and feasible ways to solve global issues in MUN.

LOVE FOR EDM IS 👌

Anyway, look forward to get to know him more and explore myself as well:)
