“The Crucible”: If I’m A Witch, You’re A Witch

Pretty self-explanatory in its name, this unit allowed us to read and interpret Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible in-depth. This is my favorite unit so far because the storyline itself is so well-crafted and intense and the characters are so well-developed. This unit allowed me to inspect the horrifying power of religion and belief and the unbelievable darkness of humanity. At the end of the unit, we students had gotten a chance to act out a scene as a character chosen by ourselves. We also composed a TIEA on Act 4, wrote a blog post about hypocrites, commented on our peers’ blog posts, and created a board game based on the book.
