There’s really not much story to tell over the break. It was typical yet warm and well-spent with my family. The trip to Hakuba, Japan would be the most unforgettable event within these nine days. Before actually going on this trip, I wasn’t eager at all. The reason why was I never travel with my dad alone and I was afraid skiing would be too tough and difficult to me, especially when I’m a novice and sports aren’t really my thing although I love exercising. Let’s get into the story! It was a normal morning after a tiring day of school. I left everything behind and the adventure began. I remember the very first time wearing a pair of ski boots , I could already feel the insecurity and unsureness about this challenge. The cumbrous boots were like burdens. I could feel my heart sighing and weeping, as if it was too tired to accept this challenge. However, as I was well-prepared with my gears on and walked outside, the snow was shining and the sun upon was smiling. I didn’t feel that bad anymore. The first day was extremely weary but enjoyable and plenitude as well as surprising. For the first time, I learnt that the ski poles are actually a fatal trap for beginners. I would never learn how to ski if I rely on them!
“Don’t be afraid to fall, you can always get up again later.” ❉☃
The second day was getting way more better. Our coach brought us to Chubu Sangku National Park by a shuttle bus for another skiing experience. I rode on the cable car and my heart was beating with joy. Turning, falling, and skiing again and again, we skied through the forest and all the way down to the shuttle bus station. The day ended earlier, but my soul was demanding to ski more. After skiing, Dad and I went back to the hotel and enjoyed a cup of coffee with latte art. That day was tiring, but it was worthy. The last day of the entire skiing lesson came faster than I ever thought. The weather was insanely horrible, but it didn’t decrease our eagerness. We rode the cable car to the peek of the mountain and gradually followed the path for beginners. I could never forget the feeling. It was snowing crazily and I could barely see. I could barely feel my face and the speed since the snow was way too thick. However, we still had a lot of fun. At last, we lined up as a horizontal line and was ready to race down the path. Look upon, the scenery is the most precious and beautiful thing we earned while skiing that’s free. “The more times you fall, the more chances you have to get up and try again.” I had always encouraged myself through this journey. I made it! I learned how to ski. Afterwards, I found out things ain’t always that hard as we thought if we give it a shot and try.
Thanks a lot, coach! 🙂
