In this unit, we had studied about the different kinds of systems, how they worked, and why they failed, such as Greek Government, Military and other more.
In the first unit, we learned about the history and culture of Greek religion, such as their tradition, architecture, government and military. We also learned about Alexander the Great, who took over a large part of Europe and even Asia, as well as Rome, Egypt and Greece. He not only assembled all these places into one, great empire, he also spread the religion and culture as well. After that, We talk about the rise and fall of the Rome Republic. We learned about the growth from its growth from an empire to a republic, how much land they conquered (the entire mediterranean world) and how it all collapsed, as well as the influences of Etruscans and the Greeks, with examples such as gladiator games. We also learn about other cities and states, such as the geography or influences of the Greek. The influence has spread and has a lot of impact on different things, such as the Roman religion (which is Greek gods except they improved it).
In this unit, we learned mainly about systems, which is a key concept about a group or society of people with their own role that functions together to keep everything going. These systems, or even societies, needs the balance between everyone and everything, doing their duty and keeping it stable. The unbalanced amount of the system after Alexander the Great’s death is what brought chaos and disorder to the Roman Empire, causing it to collapse.
In this unit I became better at thinking critically (Criteria D), by learning to analyze concepts and visual representation. I can summarize information in well-supported arguments as well as clearly explain the implications. I have clearly analyze the Spartan Military in the “system” presentation, as well as tasks like the Roman column and often times on the notebook. I have also learned to reflect myself and learn to know what I lack and what I need to accomplish to a certain level of achievement, making me to push myself forward more as well as crave for the ebst result possible. After understand to grade and reflect myself, I tried to not make the same error again as well as trying to do better on the things I lacked. I hope that in the future, I would not only try not to do the same mistakes again, I hoped to make my level of achievement on every single criteria better, including investigating and understanding better on my topic (Criteria A and B).
