To me, technological threats can be a new development that humans have created that are potentially dangerous for us. In the world today, new technologies are being developed quickly as days go by. Whenever a new innovation comes out, there might be new problems that get brought up as well. And sometimes it is hard to see those problems without getting experience with the new development.
Like in the book Never Let Me Go, humans created a program where they would develop clones to get fresh organs as the clones grow up. And this cured diseases that never could’ve been cured at that time. But there were problems that began to develop as well, and when they noticed it, it was already too late. They realized that it may be unethical for the clones to be treated that way as they have the same traits as humans and live the same way. The only difference is that they were created by humans, not naturally born. However, it wasn’t easy to put a stop to this program because of the benefits the humans would get from it.

This shows the triumph of new technological development, but also, a threat posed by the new triumph.
