I’ve researched what I should be consuming, about the amount of food per day, how much water humans should drink or how much sugar is too much. I’ve been restricting myself from any pops or sugary drinks. My main goal is to gain mass because I haven’t been able to grow in mass despite working out just as much as before. I’ve come to realize that it’s because I need a calorie surplus every day. I used to think that it was about the type of food, which does matter, but it’s more of a matter that I’m eating more and not skipping meals because there isn’t any food I want in school.
I found out how much I should be eating a day by calculating with this Calories Calculator. It turns out that I need to be eating 2483 calories a day just to maintain my weight 100%. And if I do want to gain mass and not just make my muscles more defined, I need to consume more than that.
I also researched how much water I should be drinking in a day. It turns out that it’s good that whenever I’m thirsty I should drink, and when I am not thirsty anymore I should stop. And if I do go out to exercise or during a workout, I need to drink “enough to compensate” the loss water in my body. I wanted to find a scale or some numbers to put to a scale of how much I’m actually drinking, so I found that almost to 3liters of water is enough for a day.
