School is about to end.
Our family left school a day early because we will be heading off to Osaka, Japan! This is a special trip because it’s my first time going to Osaka and first time having a close cousin, Catherine, graduating high school, it might be the last time our “whole” family is going on a trip together, since, Catharine will be in College, and I don’t really know how she feels but if it is me, I will be of course sad to leave my family for a few years, but excited to start my new life, an adult life.
The night before we left, the night we packed, my dad had a conversation will my family, which is make our own quota, which means the money that we plan to spend, at first i felt nervous making the amount of money that I will be spending, because I really don’t know what kind of strange and cool things are going to attract me in Japan, and I felt a little bit greedy, I ended up saying 5000 NT but then my mom pops up and said, “I don’t think that is enough for the whole Trip.” However, we talked about it and the final amount of money I get to spend was 7000NT(30,000Yen) I think that is a lot when I don’t earn the money but I can spend that much.
The morning that we were going to Japan, on the airplane, two of my cousins, Hubert and Daniel, and I sat together, we were talking about how we are going to sleep in our room and what we are going to do. When the airplane land, we took a long bus ride, and we rushed to a rice ball shop. It tasted not bad, then we rode another bus to Arima, which is the place we will be staying for a night, that hotel was a maze, everything was great but it’s a maze. We spend an amazing day there, the dinner was awesome, the vending machines were incredible, the hot springs were so cool and the weather was the best, not to cold and not even to hot. The next morning we woke up and had breakfast, then we packed and before checking out we went to an Ice cream shop on the floor above the hot springs. The ice cream there was really special, it tasted to that sweet, it tasted soft, and it’s just like you are in heaven, when you eat it.
The second day was blast, it was totally called a shopping day, there is this place that sells everything, the first shop everyone went was clothing shop, but instead my dad and I went a shoe shop called “Step” and i was just looking around then I saw a shoe that looks not bad, when my dad is about to pay I saw a shoe that I really like, so I bought the one that I really like, but after that there was a sports shop called “ABC Mart” It was huge mostly sells shoes, but there was other clothes and other bags, however, I saw a shoe I like, but there was no size and no other colours, so I decided to not buy it, I can’t buy it anyways…. Then we went to dinner, we had a bunch of beef, pork and chicken. It was the Anti – vegetables night. At night I thinked back to the amount of money I spend, I spend about 2000~3000Nt(9000Yen) just the first day! I was shocked. I need to be careful in the next few days.
The third day we went to Universal Studio, it was so cool, it’s like I went back to my kindergarten life! The most amazing memory that I made there was the Roller-Coaster, one of the cool things about it was, you can actually pick your own song while you ride, it’s got speakers on the side of the seat. However, Hubert, Daniel and I sat together again. We were not that scared at first, to be honest I was a little bit nervous, but they told me to not be nervous, they said we won’t die, that didn’t really help but they at least did something to try to make me not nervous, anyways, the first thing on the roller-coaster was a about 6 floors dash, we were climbing up so high and then the roller-coaster dash down in no time, I felt like was was dying, and my voice goes like, AHHHHHHHHahhhhh, suddenly muted. I can’t help it, I felt like my bones were gone, I was morphing into a jelly fish.
I can’t remember which day I bought the beats headphones, however, I did not use all my quota because I still bought a phone case and a pair of shoes. At first I saw the beats and it was a “royal Edition” but it didn’t cost as much as it cost in Taiwan. But then I am afraid that I will use all my quota and if I see anything else I can’t get it, so it is a dilemma. At last my parents decided to increase the amount of my quota, Indeed, yes I got a new headphone. The next day I bought saw a phone case store next to the place that we had lunch, so my dad and I visited it, and it was such a cool shop, I got a new nice wooden looking case. My quota still did not run out. I still have about 7000 Yen which is about 2000 NT. The next day we went to GAP, clothes shop, my dad told me he will let me buy clothes, and at last I bought 5 items, and my quota ran out, but after that my cousins came to me and told me a cool shoes shop close to us. And I bought a shoe……. My quota really ran out. However, my family… everyone’s quota ran out, the day before GAP and Shoes. I controlled my quota pretty well but I blew it at last. From that I felt like quota really worked, so that we won’t buy things when we see it at first, with quota we will be careful.
I can’t wait for the next vacation that every single family memeber is coming together! I love spending time with family, like traveling. I really have to thank my grandparents, they are the people who actually made all this happen. They paid and they took us everywhere. So, thank you grandma and grandpa.
