Aztec Adventure
BY: Renzo
There was an invisible person called “Mr. Invisible. ” He told me to go to a website that he made called “Come and Die.” After I played the game, I only saw some Aztec information, so I asked, “ What do you want me to do?”
Suddenly, all the words were spinning like a tornado and I’ve been sucked in! After a few minutes I woke up and then I saw an eagle with a snake in its mouth. By that time I knew what happened, I had been sucked in and then somehow the time changed to when the Aztecs were living in Tenochtitlan (their capital city). I screamed, “What is happening, I want to go home!”
I heard a sound without seeing anyone but I knew it was Mr. Invisible and he whispered in a scary voice, “This is your new adventure, you might die so be careful, also if you see a man with any kind of weapon you should hide!!”
He sounded so creepy, I was shocked, but I knew that if I didn’t go back to my real life I would make my mom and my teacher angry because mom thought I was sick. Also, my teacher wants us to go to school today because we have to finish the Aztec information research, so I better go home!
After I thought about those things I felt weird and dizzy, I could barely see. Mr. Invisible was gone but somehow he whispered, “It’s your feelings after you get here, everyone will feel the same thing.”
A few minutes after I felt better and I saw a man with a bat that had lots of obsidian blades sticking out. I was excited because I thought he wanted to play baseball with me, so he held me up from the floor and suddenly he held me higher and threw me on the ground. Then suddenly I reminded myself and looked at the bat again, it looked like a weapon. It was an Aztec fighting club! So I tried to sneak away from him.
When I tried to run, everyone was on the huge temple and that man shouted, “STOP!” in a strange accent, and here came Mr. Invisible. He said, “Run.” to me, so I started running until I saw the outside of Tenochtitlan. Tenochtitlan is surrounded by a big lake, so I dove into the water and I almost drowned, and somehow I flew up into the air and Mr. Invisible said, “Sorry to make you dive into the water.” I was back on land.
So I walked through the market but at the end of the market, I could see a man with a sharp obsidian blade in his hand, it’s almost as sharp as a shark’s teeth. I was shocked but he said, “If you give me an animal skin I’ll help you get back home!”
So I went back to the lake and tried to find an animal but I suddenly reminded myself that I have no weapon, so now I have to go and find a weapon. Ah! I am gonna die, wait isn’t that an axe? (I saw an axe floating on the lake so I took it.) Again? A snake right there? This is insane, I killed the snake and took the skin off it. Then, I brought the snake skin to the man.
Next, I saw a huge temple again. I think I learned that from social studies class, that’s the great temple. Oh my, all the blood is pouring on the ground, it’s almost like a “river of blood!”
“Hey! Where are you taking me to?” Aztec warriors grabbed me and put me on the sacrifice table. Mr. Invisible told me to give him the axe, so I did. Then, since he was invisible he could cut the rope on my neck. So he cut it and we snuck away from him!
We ran back to where we saw the cactus with the eagle perched on it with a snake in his mouth. But some how, there was no more snake in the eagle’s mouth. Suddenly the eagle came alive and he took me back to my house, by that time Mr. Invisible said “Now you see the magic from me, bye.”
Now I understood. Mr. Invisible was a god who played magic tricks all the time. At least I learned a lot about the Aztecs.
