For this month’s CAS I went to hockey matches. After a long while of training and practicing, it’s time to let it all pay off in a match. There are so many little details that stood out to me during the match. I realized my skating ability was good enough to speed past others. But also, my hand-eye coordination has drastically improved after all the practices. I could pin-point a pass or intercept one in mid-air as I’m moving at high speed. The most important part was to have fun, and it has been a long while since the sport has been this fun because it’s hard to find hockey in a tropical place like this.

That relates to my CAS project, I will be looking to bringing this sport into this community. I was hoping for small groups of people who are interested to join and learn/explore the sport. My partner for the project and I have been doing numerous researches for drills and activities.

Here’s a short video of me in the game. As you can see I’m at the right place most of the time, but my friend and I had the toughest night of all the players because our wheels on our skates were all worn out, we had no grip at all. So it looks like I’m struggling in skating, the next time I play, I am aiming to get better results as I will be getting my new skates.

The results of this game for me was 1 goal and 2 assists.
