I traveled to Japan twice every year. Due to coronavirus, I have not traveled abroad for a year. This is a specially tough time for everyone around the globe. Instead of traveling, I decided to return to the time when we are free to go anywhere we want. Photography to me was not an influential concept, rather just a record of daily. However, I went back to the history of pictures, I realized something different, something I never noticed before.

I thought I am a terrible photographer because I have a friend who is really at photographing, and I am always her model. It results in that I never actually look at the photos I take seriously. It surprised me how fascinating some photos are. Not only that, but it recalled my memory in Japan so rapidly, and clearly.

My thinking has changed as I recalled these memories to a series of photos and editing them. After this experience, I think I have re-evaluated myself because I found another path and interest for me. I found the importance of not to shut down to a new skill and don’t assume at the first hand that you cannot do it. It encourages me to try more new things and to view unfamiliar challenges as possibilities.
