Can other people know us better than ourselves?

In my opinion, yes, sometimes other people know us better than ourselves. Other people know our external faces better than ourselves because they always see our reactions towards them and things. However, I also think that other people would not know our inner selves better than us because they never have the access to our brains. We may pretend towards others to hide who we are inside. Sometimes not the closed ones don’t realize, and the closed ones still, may or may not find out. Only we know what exactly we are thinking, but sometimes our minds of whom-we-want-to-be block our true images in other people’s eyes.

My artworks from other people’s points of view and mine may be different. For instance, others may think that I’m running away from a koi and it represents that I am trying to escape the struggles I recently been through. But I said it was an extension from a previous collage project. However, no one knows the true story, or even myself wouldn’t realize that my painting represents myself. In conclusion, I don’t see how other people think of me, nor they don’t see how I think of myself. But it is true that other people know the external us better.
