In this Unit, we explored Arthur Miller’s piece of work: The Crucible and how it reflects the Anti-communism and McCarthy era period through Salem witchcraft trials. By finishing the book, we gained more insights and have a better understanding of a society ruling under system combined church and government, and how jealous, hysteria and false accusations destroy lives and people’s relationships.
