I think the stereotype is that M&M is the best. The propaganda is that the poster wants people to believe that red is the best color, and letting people buy M&M, not other chocolate companies. I think it also maybe making other people think that they are now fighting with other companies, because there are soldiers with various kinds of weapons in it. Its making people feel that they are going to fight. It also uses the color red. The color red is a color of energy, power, and strong willed, making people think that the M&M company is strong and powerful. It relates to our SOI, because the purpose of this poster can be changing the thoughts of people on making others think that they are in war. Fighting for customers. Using the soliders and the color red, it can influence on how people think on what M&M is going to do and maybe what new products is going to attract people to come to buy their products.

For the stereotype for this poster, is that all children likes to eat chocolate. For the propaganda that I found in this poster, is that children will like this brand the most, because in the poster, they used picture of two kids eating their chocolate cake. They already ate one fourth of them and the little boy is going to eat more. It makes other kids want to buy their chocolate because they see the kids in the poster enjoying it. Another propaganda is that Hershey’s has the best service for all the chocolate companies, because in the picture, it says they wrap 1 oz pieces individually, saying that they use extra wrappers, making people think that their service is very good. I think it relates to our SOI, because they used children in the advertisement to influence other children around the world to want to buy their chocolate. Also, they also want to make customers think that their service is the best.

I think the stereotype for this advertisement is that milk chocolate is the most tasty kind of chocolate in the world. I think the propaganda for this advertisement is that since their brand is called Dairy Milk, they made a picture of a piece of chocolate, and there are cups of milk being dipped into the chocolate. Since their stereotype is that milk chocolate is the best, they made their advertisement think that their chocolate is added with alot of milk, so it will be very tasty. They also want to say that the milk that they add into their chocolate is high qualitied, because they said “A Glass & Half Full Of Joy”, making their milk look like its from the best cows. I think it relates to SOI, because it uses lots of milk to influence on how customers think about this company.

I think the stereotype for this advertisement is that shoes are the key to speed. I think the propaganda is that Nike’s shoes are the fastest than other companies, and that disabled people can run very fast too if they wear Nike’s shoes. For this advertisement, it used a person who doesn’t have legs, and its showed that the person still looks like he ran very fast. I think it relates to SOI, because it uses the speed of the disabled person to influence on that if a disabled person can run that fast, then a normal person can run very fast.

I think the stereotype for this is that all vegetables are healthy. I think the propaganda is that they are targeting people that doesn’t like veggies. They are saying that it is a delicious way to get your veggies. That means that veggies are not really tasty, and they say that in McDonald’s their veggies are tastier than other places that sell vegetables. I think it relates to our SOI, because it uses words in the advertisement, saying that their veggies are delicious, it is a better way to eat vegetables. It is trying to aim for people that doesn’t eat vegetables as much.

I think the stereotype for this advertisement is that their pizza is always crispy and have lots of cheese that melts. I think the propaganda for this advertisement is that their pizza is very crispy and have lots of cheese. It also feels melty. That makes people think that their pizza is the most delicious, so people will buy their pizza. I think it relates to SOI, because it uses words like crispy and melty to say that their pizza is that way, but actually it doesn’t really mean that it is crispy and melty.

I think the stereotype for this advertisement is that when you drink sprite, everyone becomes cool. I think the propaganda is that only sprite’s drink is better for hot days, because it will cool you down. They also used the color blue for the background. Blue means intelligence and confidence, so when you drink sprite, you will have those feelings. They used ice on the woman’s hair to show that sprite will let you cool down or become cold very fast. I think it relates to our SOI, because it uses the woman’s hair turning to ice to show that if you drink sprite, you will cool down very fast, and you won’t be hot anymore.
I don’t know if it’s my computer not working or your blog’s problem, but I can’t see the ads that supports your paragraph. Maybe you can recheck the blog post and put the pictures in, this way I it’ll help me and people who read your blog understand more of what you’re talking about, by looking at the ads and your explanation together.
I like how you analyze the stereotype and propaganda in your post. Your explanations have lots of details. Now I know the stereotype and the propaganda in these posters. You did a great job on this!
I like the way how you analyze this with details compared to other people’s analysis. I am very impressed on your analysis on all of this advertisements. Keep up the good work!!!
I like what you wrote about what you wrote about Nike, and how to try to make it look like if you wear their show you automatically run faster.
I like how you constantly relate the advertisement posters back to our statement of inquiry. You also throughly used the details in the posters to analyze propagandas. You’re getting on the right track of the emotional appeals they used, but try adding more explanation of how exactly it convinces people.
I like how you write every information in so much detail, and every picture are so cool. I like how you explain the stereotype for the third picture, “I think the stereotype for this advertisement is that milk chocolate is the most tasty kind of chocolate in the world.”
You were very specific with your descriptions and even directly mentioned how it connects to our SOI, which was very important in our assignment. My favorite analysis from you is for the one on the M&Ms. It is a perfect combination of war-like propaganda as well as an advertisement. I didn’t realize until you said so that the color red really makes you blood boil and you feel the urge to buy the product.
I like how you related each ad propaganda to our statement of inquiry. It helps the reader understand what each style of propaganda means and what their significance is on our subject of study. However, using the same style and format for each analysis makes the overall quality drop and becomes a little stale. Also, abbreviating things that other people may not know makes it hard for someone to understand what you are talking about, as this page is open to anybody with access to WiFi. Anyways, the content was interesting and I enjoyed learning about your perspective on the topic of propaganda. Awesome post!
I like the way you write about Domino’s Pizza, and how cheesy it is
