New semester
New beginning
New mindset
New focus
New intention
Ninth grade arrives in a blink of an eyelid. For a freshman like me, I feel like a complete stranger to this same school. Everything seems different from the middle school routine I’ve grown used to. Classes. Teachers. Peers. Lunch. One-third of my classes are on the fourth floor. On the positive side, I get to exercise more than others. Since the older we get, the more mature we are to be expected, high schoolers are the last one to have lunch. It would be a miracle if my stomach didn’t start to rebel on the fourth period. But no, we have to wait until the end of the fifth period for our hunger to finally abate. High school, compared to middle school, have much more student. Of course, we don’t get a bigger cafeteria, we just have to all squeeze into the space that can just barely accommodate middle schoolers. I like this year’s lunch menu, there are various meals, that are already packed, for students to choose. However, when there are infinite people lining up for their lunch, there isn’t much choice when it’s my turn. Plus, there’s only a limit amount of time to eat, once I finally get my food, there are only fifteen minutes left of lunch time.
On the other hand, I’m excited to have a fresh start. New beginning. New goals. I tried to organize all my assignments and classes, so I can keep track of all my school works. Yes, maintaining good grades is very important for me, but this year, I also want to have some accomplishments in athletics. One of the goals I have for myself is to join the high school soccer team. Moreover, I want to join clubs like community service, so I could help out other people. I’m will be finding my main focus of this year as I become more familiar with high school.
