Student’s now mostly use cell phones or laptops, spending most of their time on social media texting, sharing, trolling, scrolling. Speaking indirectly creates a barrier to real communication. Learning how to make friends is an essential part of life (especially when growing up), and friendship involves being active . But when it happens online and through texts, it wouldn’t be realistic. You aren’t hearing or seeing the effect that your words are having on the other person. Since the conversation isn’t taking place in real setting, it would take each side more time to consider a response. Then maybe their true feelings will not match what they text.

So she looked it up and spent more time on social media, trying to figure out the real meaning. As the result, she cannot finish her homework, causing her lack of sleeping and create more stress. To prevent situations like this, students should spend more time chatting with others in person, so there won’t be a misunderstanding.
