As we are halfway through spring, the fabulous Student Council, as always, put in a tremendous amount of effort to organize a dance where KAS students could gather around, take a break from heavy schoolwork, and enjoy a night filled with energizing music and wild dance moves. Their hard work surely paid off as everyone who attended “Spring Fling” had an unforgettable time in this delightful season.
The dance took place at Garden Villa, our longtime partner just across the street. Despite the cold weather, everyone busted their moves on the dancefloor and the heat soon took over the chill. The night started off with boxes of pizza that came in with a variety of flavours, accompanied by chips and soft drinks. After everyone had their stomach filled up, DJ Alex Liu from 12th grade took his position, and flooded the room with excitement by blasting music with beats that throbbed through everyone’s body in the room. Besides the music, the addition of vibrant lighting also helped to bring up the atmosphere, as Dylan from 11th grade commented, “The laser lighting was terrific!” Every lively spirit in the room expressed their joy for the night through the merry swaying of their bodies, series of intricate dance moves, and contagious laughter. Despite the fact that a few minor problems with the speakers occurred in between songs, everyone still kept up with the boisterous spirit and showed support for the wonderful DJ who made the best night for those present. Isabelle, also from 11th grade, said, “I really enjoyed the dance. The music was great and the DJ controlled the atmosphere well.” Well done Alex! With the vast amount of positive feedback, everyone definitely had an incredible time thanks to your outstanding DJing skills and great effort!
Needless to say, the last dance of the year had gone smoothly and left all attendees beaming with joy. Annika, a current freshman, said, “I had a lot of fun at the dance considering the fact that it was my last one of the year. Stuco did an amazing job! Keep it up!” This was also the last dance before prom for the seniors, and they certainly have shared lasting moments that will be engraved in their memories. To sum it up, Spring Fling was everything we expected, and undeniably a success! Good job again, STUCO!
