The annual Morrison Invitational Track Meet took place last weekend with KAS coming out fairly successful. Stockton Quinn (G9), shooting guard of varsity basketball team and our very own KASPER writer, won the 3000 meter dash with a time of 10 minutes and 57 seconds, narrowly beating Stephen Hsu from Morrison Academy who was tailgating him the whole way by a single second. Quinn then went on to place second in the 1500 meter dash with a time of 5:09. David Lin (G9) placed second in the 200 meter dash, losing by just a second to Elijah Graff and third in 400 meter dash. In the 4×400 relay, a team of Ching-Duan Chiu, Paul Noel, David Lin, and Stockton Quinn, placed third with a combined time of 4 minutes and 15 seconds, placing 15 seconds behind 1st place Morrison Academy and 9 seconds behind Chung Ping High School.

Overall it was a fairly successful day for KAS’s track team, who placed 4th in medal count despite only having 4 athletes. The team ended the day with the highest medals per athlete ratio.
