So I guess the long fun VV time finally comes to an end, isn’t that sad? This is the last basketball tutorial update I would post on my blog. Our fun time is over. I wish we had more time to film, because we only manage to accomplish two videos and there are still 3 more to go.
So for the last 2 weeks Ronald and I was planning for the shooting tutorial, we were ready to film the shooting one, about making buckets, the best jumpshot, and the best release, we were ready for that, but some unexpected changes happened this week, Ms.Marcum announced that this week is the final week for filming, Ronald and I had made a change, we changed from shooting to passing, the ones that take a short time to film, and because of the change, we had to plan all over again, and miraculously, we finished the planning in less than 10 minutes and well manage to start the film and finish it in less than 20 minutes, by the end of the class we were editing the video.
Well, as you can see, our plan was to create a series of video about basic basketball tutorial. We were trying to teach everyone who has a passion of basketball about the basics of basketball. Both Ronald and I had a huge passion of basketball and so together, we want to spread the passion of basketball to all of youtube. We want to teach them about the basics.
The thing we did well was the filming time efficiency. Ronald and I had filmed a video in less than 20 minutes and we finished the editing and movie creation by the end of the class, then I upload it to youtube at home. It was this that allowed us to finish two videos quickly. But sadly, we didn’t had more time to film otherwise, we could finish the other 3 videos.
Well, the unexpected was that well, was that Ms.Marcum announce the last VV time at school was on April 25, that made us had less time and we have to make a change,the change was to film the passing first. I’m glad that I did that otherwise we might not finish the shooting one and might also not have the time to start the passing one(which was supposed to be episode 3 but I switched it to episode 2).
The weakness, well, VV time usage, because there were a lot of time where there were no VV on Friday (Parent teacher conference, holidays, .etc which also contributes to unexpect change) we had a shorter amount of time to film, well, like I said we use the time well, but the video’s weakness was its quality, it wasn’t very good because we had to use a short amount of time to film (20 minutes and even 10 minutes). The video quality aren’t great, but they look ok for me with a use of only 10-20 minutes to film.
If I was assigned another project, it would still be basketball, because like I said, it is what I’m passsionate about, it is what I like to do. The only change I would change is the use the weekly VV time more wisely because in every VV time, we were only planning and discussing what we will do for the filming, we were only planning, and not executing the plan. That helped us a lot for the filming, because we were organized, and ready to film, we finished it in less than 20 minutes. If we had more weekly VV time, I believe we can finish the rest of the episode.
