What makes a good blog post?

What makes a good blog post? Our teacher asked us for some suggestions to help our partners in the states to create some “better” blog posts.

Well actually I think there’s probably a lot of ways to add more “features” inside the blog and today let me introduce some of it.

The first thing is photo citation, always be careful on what you images you are using. I’d like to use CC2.0 photo credit type images and also giving credit and the caption to the owner.

Ex: Photo credit to Albert Williams “Ahh such a great pet” via Flickr or something like this.

Sorry no photo because I made this up but yeah basically something like can already fix some small details within your blog post. This is probably strict in the U.S but some kids just like to search on google image and be lazy but honestly, if the rules go for everyone around the world, then you should probably be doing the same thing.  Oh yea, a small thing by the way. Make sure your blog post has photos and images (this is just a helping tool so yeah no image….Deal with it HAHA!!

2nd thing: Fonts, I think that fonts should always be unified as one simple font so that it does not make the reader confused or eye pained to watch what your writing.

3rd thing:Spelling, I know these days a lot of people like to take shortcut to spell stuff on chat and messengers, please don’t bring that up on blog because everyone around the whole world can see it, not just you!!! If you do that, it causes a bad impression to readers saying “this writer likes to take shortcut”. You want that? Nope… I suppose.

4th thing: Effort, you know they say that put in the effort will most certainly do better than no effort at all. This applies to blog post. You can do everything I said above, and more by putting in more time and your strength on trying to make the blog better. Effort means everything. If you don’t show effort, would your blog post make an effort to help you get good grades? It’s the same thing on both.

Also double check your work!!! I’ve double checked everything in my post before I leave a trace on the internet. Make sure your blog is fully ready to face the world. Kinda like how you prepare your sons and daughter when they’re growing up except this is on a much smaller scale, but honestly if you treat the blog post the way you would treat a future son or daughter, then I guarantee the blog is gonna do everything it can to make you proud.
