A secret meeting (fictional world war II story)

There was a secret meeting tonight and I had to be there, I don’t know what it was, but it was said to be completely classified, no one knows we’re there meeting. Who am I meeting with? No one tells me no nothing, I don’t even know who I am meeting with, why should I be there? Well, anyway I got on the car, drove to the meeting place, well, guess what”no one was there”. Looks like either I came early or they havent arrive. Then another person arrived. My friend General Patton came. He told me he also got the news from Eisenhower. Just then Montegomery came, then followed by Omar Bradley, and then the others. Eisenhower was the last to arrive as he started the conversation:
Eisenhower:Gentlemen, yesterday at the Ardenne Forest of the Belgium, we have been hitted by a huge counter attack by the Nazis and was battered. (he showed the tactical map) As you can see our frontline now has a gap between Monte”s force and our southern U.S army.
Patton:I thought those darn German lost all their armies already, (other generals nodded in agreement).
Eisenhower:As far as we know, hitler mustered everything he got and launched this assault on us. I have send 101st airborne to Bastonge, and they are instructed to hold the Germans until further notice.
But we don’t think they can hold out long because reports indicate: many tanks and infantry, presumed Elite forces attacking.
Patton: So you mean your sending an elite airborne division to stop an Elite German tank army, are you out of your ******* mind? This is total nonsense.
Me:How long do you think they could hold out?
Eisenhower: I presume couple of days.
Eisenhower: I need armies on the South to advance up North to assist the effort of pushing back.
Montegomery: My armies will assist pressing from the North, mate.
Me: I think Patton and I can do the job.
The other generals: Are you insane? We need your army’s effort to press in the South!I don’t believe you’ll get there in time to help.
Patton: Shut the **** up, didn’t you see that our forces up North is about to collapse? If you disagree, I strongly suggest you to go away.
Me :Chill out man, easy.
Eisenhower: Ok, so General patton and Colonel Johntesh will do the job.
1 day after the army was well on its way toward to battle. Meanwhile in Bastonge, heavy fighting raged from streets to streets as American try to hold their position, with little and no amount of anti tank weapon, fighting against German heavy tanks advancing with elite German troops. Hour by hour a block, a district slowly fall to enemy hand as the American throw back with everything they got. Finally, the battle came to a pause as German commander issued a retreat because the casualty was so high. 5000 losted just trying to take a forsaken town that has a bridge which allow them to pass and surround Montegomery’s force.

Back at patton and our’s frontline, day and night advancement from the South to north. So tired that I even got a fever. Patton every started sneezing. The soldiers sleep on the trucks as we advance, when we arrived, it took only 1 day while today, man, we have heavy tanks pounding us,artillery barraging. We overcome them, but with a price. Day by day I saw with my bare eyes couple of them gets caught in the barrage in the trucks and trucks gets hit by tank shells. Morale was dropping, but we pressed on.
Another hour, another casualty rate rise. At the afternoon when we tried to pass the last resistance before reaching the city, we heard the reports of Bastonge telling that half of the town has fallen under German and and they were on the brink of surrendering. Patton told them hold their position and we will arrive. I doubt that because the German put everything they got here, and patton and I joined the fight, our tanks shell at their tank while infantry as shooting at the enemy in the forests.
We now know that this is the last line of stopping us and they have surrounded the 101st Airborne. They were under supplied and taking huge casualty. But one good news was while we were tryng to reach them, the other forces has beginning to push back the enemy. The next day, it was broad daylight and planes were flying toward the town, dropping supplies for the airborne and air raiding Germans. We got there just to find bodies after bodies left wit nowhere to place. On top of each other with one block of it filled with body bags. The price did not go in vain. The 101st airborne delayed them long enough for the tide to be turned. Now it was time for payback.
We fought hard and hard everyday joined by other armies, the Gap was closing. Finally on late january, the Gap was closed. The Germans lost everything they had to defend their homeland and it was a huge casualty.
Patton showed me the casualty report:
Americans89,500(19,000 killed,47,500 wounded,23,000 captured or missing)
German:84,834 (other estimates range from 60000–100,000)killed, missing/captured, or wounded
600 tanks and assault guns
Montegomery’s British force:1,408 (200 killed, 969 wounded, and 239 missing

Patton:Huge right?
me:Man Hitler’s gone madness!!!
Patton:When we capture him, well beat the **** out of him.
me:deffinitely…

Americans never made it to Berlin, instead it was the Soviets who did it. The Soviet arrive faster into Berlin than the American/British forces.
