Unit Title:  Statistics and Data

Statement of Inquiry:  The way in which we collect,  represent and interpret data, helps us to identify patterns, understand relationships and solve real-world problems.

In math, the first unit is about gathering, organizing, analyzing, displaying and communicating data.  Students will learn different ways to organize data and present data.  They will also practice analyzing data relative to real-world situations.  This unit is easily integrated with science as we begin to conduct experiments and investigations and write lab reports.
