First Science Presentations of the Year

Recently, the sixth-grade students presented an experiment that they designed. Each student designed and conducted his/her own candy experiment.  They each wrote a lab report about the experiment and then presented their plan and analysis to the class.  They did a GREAT JOB!

Google Slides Presentations

After each student wrote his/her lab report, they created a Google Slides presentation.  Some of them turned out quite nice.  Below is an example slide presentation by Oriana Roth-Vincent:

 

Lab Report

I was very proud of the sixth graders when I started reading their lab reports.  The students seem to be very enthusiastic about science.  I could see that they all made an effort to try and design an interesting candy experiment and they seemed to enjoy themselves too.  They all proved to me that they could be independent by completing a project on-time and that they paid attention to the format of the lab report.  Below you can see an example of Stella’s report:
