People had long debated whether kids should be allowed to do thing so extreme. Here are some examples of risks kids take. Ten year-old twins, Daryl, Davy, and their parents, rode from Alaska to Argentina on bike, but their record for being the youngest to travel such a long distance was unofficial, so it wasn’t in the book of  “Guinness World Records.” At age 17, Mike Perham of England had become the youngest person to sail solo around the world. Jessica Watson of Australia and Abby Sunderland of the United States both in 2010, at age 16 set out to break Mike’s unofficial record. Abby didn’t make it because in the middle of  the Indian Ocean  a giant wave  batted her boat and she had to be rescued. Jessica made it safely a few days before her 17th birthday. Laura Dekker of the Netherlands who just turned 16, is now sailing around the world to break Jessica’s unofficial record. On May 22, 2010, Jordan Romero, age 13,  reached the top of Mount Everest.
