Dino, my Dog

Ruff, ruff, ruff! I spun around to see which dog was barking. Ruff, ruff, ruff! And right there, in front of my very own eyes, was a two year-old dog, a Shipa-Inu, a very cute on, too. “That one,” I pleaded, “please, please, please!”

“Hmmm…” my mom replied, “let’s see how he gets along with you.”

The shop owner took him out, tied a leash around him, and gave the leash to me, “Give it a try,” he encouraged me, “it’s fun!”

I walked the dog around the shop, and he kept stopping to sniff stuff. “This is fun!” I laughed as the dog peed on the, “So can we keep him?”

“Yes,” my mom answered. I was jumping with joy!

My brother Jerry was scared of all kinds of dogs, and was running to the back of the shop. He wanted to look at the fish instead, but my mom didn’t notice all this. She continued to buy dog toys, shampoo, and blah, blah, blah.

Then I wondered, when will we get-

“Tomorrow,” my mom answered, interrupting my thoughts. Wow! She can read minds!

“Oh,” I mumbled sadly, I wanted to get the dog right now.

Since I couldn’t wait for tomorrow to come, I couldn’t sleep that night!

When the day finally came, I was still very tired because I didn’t sleep much. We went into the car and drove to the pet store, while I slept. When we got there, I ran as fast as a rocket to the pet store with my mom and Jerry running after me. When they finally got here, we bought the dog and took him home.

When we were home, my mom was relieved that the dog didn’t pee or poo in the car. Then, in case of pee or poo, she quickly put out the pee mat.

“We should name him now,” I remembered.

“All right,” my mom answered, “how about Fluffy?”

“No!” I yelled, “what about Dino?” I got the idea from a person named Tiffany, her dog was called Dino, too.

Dino peed on the mat but pooped on the floor, and my mom had to teach him to poop on the mat, too. When he finally did it, I gave him a treat and patted him.

I was happy, except for Jerry of course, he was scared.
