This is a line graph about the average high and low temperature in Tainan from 2000 to 2012. The steps to make this graph was quite similar from making the circle graph about favorite series of book in Grade 5S. The different part was that I had to copy the information ( the high temperature and low temperature) from some websites and, this is a line graph, not a circle graph, haha.

This is a pie graph about favorite series of books in Grade 5S.
I made this from the Google form in my drive. First, I made a survey to ask everyone in my class to answer it. However, I only got 19 answers from our class. After that, I went to the response sheet, which was called Google Sheets, to make the responses into a graph by using a formula which was “=COUNTIF(B2:B20,”(book title)”) and press enter. This formula is very convenient because I didn’t have to count and sort the responses one by one. Last, I clicked the graph button and chose pie graph. The pie graph was really cool and interesting.
The pie graph shows that most people likes Harry Potter the best. Then was Magic Tree House, Goosebumps, and Diary of a Wimpy Kid. Last was Dear Dumb Diary, Dork Diary, Hank Zipzer, Junie B. Jones, and A to Z Mysteries. Nobody chose Horrible Harry and Nancy Drew.
I think doing this project was fun. It was the funnest thing I did in IT class, so far.
This is a picture I made in IT class. I purposely put my favorite movie – Monster University characters in Antarctica because I knew that they are hairy monsters and they are not scared of the freezing weather.
Let me tell you how I made this amazing picture. In fact, I also found making this picture fun myself!
First, I saved the pictures, including the background picture, to Desktop. Next, I opened it in Photoshop. I copied the character pictures onto the background. But, what about the white background surrounding the monsters? My IT teacher Mr. Pilon then taught us how to use the Magic Wand Tool and the Quick Selection Tool. These tools made the Monster University characters look like they are really in Antarctica!
Photoshop really made the world different, it is fun, useful, fantastic, funny and cool!
This is my Mayan birthday glyph. It is Akbal, Night West. The glyph looks likes this:
Our class had been working on this special project in art class. It was fun! Let me tell you how I made this glyph:
First, I threw the piece of clay on the table as hard as I could to make it flat. Next, I used a sharp tool to carve my glyph on the piece of clay. Then, I used water to make the clay smooth. Last, I burnt it and colored it with a special kind of ink. Although it was hard work, I still think it was interesting. Maybe you could try to make your own glyph yourself, too!
If you want to check your glyph, please click the link below.

In the website, you have to fill in your birthday and click ” Calculate” A few seconds later, your glyph will be shown on the screen! The glyph would tell you what type of person you are (Although sometimes it is not real).
You will surely realize that the Mayan people are quite smart after you check your glyph.
Although they disappeared long time ago, they didn’t disappear in our history, they are important, and nobody have forgotten them.
