There are many types of literary device. Common literary devices are:

similes
metaphors
onomatopoeia
personification
repetition
imagery
alliteration
hyperbole

Other than poems and works of fiction, literary devices are also very common in songs. In the assignment, Andy and I explored examples of these devices in different songs.

I learned that literary devices make the work have meaning, and sometimes it even rhyme of a song. Without these, songs like “Bang Bang” uses repetition would not be as catchy.

Our video has many points about literary devices. We have 8 different songs and analysed the purpose of the devices.
