Are You Reflective?

Reflective is an adjective, it means to have great insight. A reflective person might have great insight due to taking the time to think carefully about things. Synonyms of reflective are thoughtful, meditative, and pensive. An example of how to use it in a sentence, “Reflective practice could be adopted in a group setting by practitioners or students.”

I think I am a reflective learner because sometimes I sit around to think about how I should improve in basketball. Sometimes I make bad passes and the opponent steals the ball. So I will learn from my mistake and the next time I will pass the ball faster so the opposing team will not steal the ball from us. Also I reflect on what I good at. For example, in science class I am good at to do experiments. Before I do the experiment, I will consider each step very carefully. I am very reflrective to decide what to do and how to do to prove the hypothesis.

I think I can be more reflective by taking time to think about my life. For example, I can reflect on my personality and how it affects other people. Perhaps there are negative parts of myself I can work on, and I can also concentrate on the positive things about myself. I can also reflect more time on my homework. For example, I shouldn’t just rush through the question. I should read the question very carefully then think about how to answer it. Sometimes I think too fast to misunderstand the question or skip some imporatant information.

I believe that the areas of my life that need more reflection are at school, am I working efficiently? Am I working hard enough? Am I getting the best out of myself? And I can also use this time to reflect on my future, am I moving in the right direction? Am I making the right choices? I keep on trying to make things more perfect.
