If I was in the Qin Dynasty, I would live a terrible life. Because in Qin Dynasty there were lots of wars, the Emperor might send me to the war and I would be killed in the war.

If I was in the Qin Dynasty, I would live a sad life. I would be very careful when I do something. Because the Qin Dynasty has lots of strict laws so we need to do thing carefully, or we would be executed or exiled. Some scholars were killed because they said bad things about Qin. So I must be careful about everything that I do. But Qin standardized weights, measurements and money, so now we can trade easier because our money is the same. We can also trade easier with items of different weight because we have the same measurement unit.

I think that Qin shouldn’t choose Legalism because the punishments are too harsh. The laws are too strict, too. He even exiled his own mother. I think it’s too mean. He should choose Confucianism, then there would be less people die from Qin, and people wouldn’t keep on criticizing Qin, too.

If I was chosen to build the Great Wall, everyday my life would be really hard. Because there are lots of places like the desert, mountain, swampland and quick sand that are difficult to build. I’m worried that I might die because lost of people died when they were building the Great Wall. I would miss my family a lot and I hope I can go home safely.

I wish that the Qin Dynasty was very peaceful. If nobody attacked us, then we wouldn’t need to use that much time and energy to build the Great Wall. There wouldn’t be lots of people dying and everybody could go back home to live their lives. I wondered how did Qin got so many resources? And why did he need a long wall? I wish that I could survive in that time.

I think Qin was very cruel. If scholars didn’t agree with Qin, Qin would throw the scholars into a big hole, and then bury them when they were alive. They also burn all the Confucianism books and other books. They only left medicine books and Qin Dynasty’s history books. So that is why scholars didn’t agree with Qin’s harsh strategy. I am very happy that I was not born in Qin Dynasty.
