Our class each made an Aztec Adventure Story. This is a great project, and a fun project too. This my story and my cover below. Hope you like it!

The Amazing Field Trip
By Allison Chen
On a magical morning at school, our fifth grade teacher, Miss Chagaris, said “Class, I’ve been wondering if we could have a fun day, where we could go on a field trip. Would you guys want to go to Mexico, where the Aztecs lived?”
“Yes!” we all shouted.
“But how could we get there?” Julie asked.
“Well, I got something to tell you guys,” Miss Chagaris said excitedly. Our eyes shined and our faces held smiles that were bigger than our faces. We knew something would be special and exciting. “I got a Magic School Bus! It could travel in time, and remember I read a book about The Magic School Bus, well I have the same bus.”
“Can it travel through water and transform into any kind of thing you could think of?” Sofia asked.
“Yes,” Miss Chagaris said. “Well, come on. You guys don’t have to bring anything, I already told the bus to make food for us.”
“Cool!” Chloe said.
We all went into the Magic School Bus. It was shiny – as bright as the monstrous sun – and it was yellow.
“There is one rule though. It is that you cannot open the window and climb out. If you do that, then the Aztec warriors might capture a person and that is bad. And by the way, the bus can turn invisible and we turn invisible, but we still can see each other. The Aztecs can’t see us though.”
Miss Chagaris went into the driver’s seat. She pressed the giant button that says:

Travel In Time Button
PRESS IF NEEDED ONLY
Suddenly, a hurricane blew around us. VROOM, WOOSH, CREEEEEEEEECH! The bus arrived in the mysterious land of the Aztecs. We saw water all around us. We were in this beautiful Aztec Empire, Tenochtitlan.
“This is not where the Aztecs lived,” Sofia said. “Where are we now?”
“We are at where the Aztecs lived. Can’t you-” I said.
“I’m very serious.” Sofia interrupted. Sofia went on still not believing me. “This is not where the Aztecs lived. It can’t be. We can’t travel in time. I’m just dreaming.”
“Can’t you see the temples?” I went on. “They’re covered with blood.”
“Fine.”
“Let’s explore the Aztec world!” Miss Chagaris said.
We went on until… Until we found out that Sofia was not on the bus. We stopped the bus. We saw an open window.
“Oh, brother,” Julie sighed, as if she knew this was going to happen.
“Oh, no!” Miss Chagaris cried. She knew she was in trouble if she couldn’t find Sofia. “We have to find her!”
We heard a voice, “HEEEEEEELP!!! HEEEEEEELP MEEEEEEEEE!!!”
It must be Sofia’s voice. Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I ran out of the bus and went to find Sofia. Six Eagle Aztec warriors captured Sofia. They wore eagle hehe headdress their heads. They had lots of weapons. I was so scared. Just then, they captured us too!
How can this be? Oh no, on no! I thought.
They put us in a place that was very dark. The Eagle Aztec warriors forgot to lock the door. They captured people to sacrifice them so, Julie, Sammi, Sofia, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I made an escape plan. We decided to pretend that Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I were the Sun God and the Rain God. And we escaped first. Then Sofia would pretend to get sacrificed. But when it would be Sofia’s turn to be sacrificed then we would say to not sacrifice her. We did the plan.
Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I escaped. Sofia had told us that the Aztec warriors asked where were the other five people. And she said that we got lost, so the Aztec warriors didn’t really care.
The Aztecs took Sofia to be sacrificed. When it was her turn, she lied down on the bloody rock. There was two priests who grabbed Sofia’s hands and two priests that grabbed Sofia’s legs. Another priest used a string to strangle Sofia. One other priest was ready to sacrifice Sofia. Just when the priest’s (the one that is going to sacrifice Sofia) stone knife was one inch away from Sofia’s diaphragm, we distracted him.
It was our turn. Julie, and Sammi were standing behind the left temple, pretending to be the Sun God. And Cheyenne, Chloe, and I were standing at the right temple, pretending to be the Rain God.

“Listen to me!” Julie shouted in a deep voice to try to sound like a god. She said as loud as she could.
“Do not sacrifice her!” Sammi continued, trying to sound like Julie. “She is just a little girl! Let her go! Don’t you think we should let her go, Tlaloc (the Rain God’s name)?”
“Yes, of course, Huitzilopochtli (the Sun God’s name),” I said in a man voice.
“You better not sacrifice her,” Cheyenne continued, trying to sound like me.
“Now let her go,” Chloe said trying hard to sound like Cheyenne and me.
“So, LET HER GO!” Julie and Sammi shouted in a man’s voice.
Finally, the priest let Sofia go. Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I climbed down the temple stairs and went to find Sofia. We met Sofia and went back to the bus.
Everybody was relieved. Everybody clapped their hands and thanked Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, and I about saving Sofia.
When we all sat down Miss Chagaris pressed the Travel Back In Time button and we were safe at school again. And Julie, Sammi, Cheyenne, Chloe, Sofia, and I are going to live safe and happy, and most of all will not be sacrificed and be captured by the Aztec warriors again.
