Ann M. Martin’s full name is Ann Matthew Martin. She is born on 8/12/1955. She was born in New Jersey. She is now 59 years old. Her birthday sign is Leo. She graduated at Smith College. She has a sister, Jane. She was a teacher and an editor before she became a full-time writer. She was inspired by Roald Dahl.
The main characters in this book are Flora and Ruby. This book takes place at Main Street. This book is about Flora and Ruby living with their Grandma, Min, because their parents died in a car accident. The girls made friends and Flora found out things that belongs to her mom and her relatives from long time ago.
The theme of this book is Family. The author talks about things that relates to the two sisters. Mostly her mother. The author describes that by writing about how Flora can hear her mother talking while she is sewing. They had a hard time.
I like this book, because it is very special and I sometimes could relate to Flora and Ruby. My grandma’s cat died and that was really sad. When their parents died I could feel that, that is very sad. I think you guys should read this book because it is a very good book and this is a very fun book too.
This is my book trailer I made for my book project, this book is called Main Street: Welcome to Camden Falls. My whole class made a book trailer for each of their book. We made this in I-movie. This is my Book Presentation. Our whole class made these amazing Presentations! Hope you like these fantastic Presentation!
On a Tuesday morning our class went to Lotus Pond for a field trip. But something happened… There was no water in Lotus Pond.
“Leave it to us,” Chloe said.
“What?” asked Miss Chagaris looking confused.
“Sammi, Julie, Chloe, Hiram, Morgan, Marino, Allison, Brian Lin, and I are all members of the children FBI,” Antony said.
“Are you guys sure?” asked Miss Chagaris, looking toward us.
“Uh-huh,” we all nodded.
“All right then.”
So the rest of our class went back to the school. We dashed to the tiger beside a temple and asked him if he knew who drank up all the water. The tiger said the two dragons did it. We went to see the two dragons. The dragons were angry that the tigers told us. The dragons did it on purpose. They wanted to let all the fishes die. We were very furious.
We were trying to figure out how we could make the water come back again. Suddenly, Hiram said, “Oh! We could pray to God and maybe he could help us make the water come back.”
“Yeah, that’s a great idea!” I said.
“Let’s pray,” said Marino.
“Dear God, please let the water go back to Lotus Pond,” we all said. Closing our eyes and folding our hands. “In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.”
Then, all the water came back to Lotus Pond. We made the dragons promise us not to drink up all the water again.
In class we needed to create projects of our favorite independent reading book. I created a project on the book, Ramona Quimby, Age 8.
This is the Book Presentation I made for this book. Hope you like it!
Hi! My name is Allison. I will be telling you what type of person I am. My dad thinks that I am energetic, because I am always looking for something to do and I cannot sit still without doing anything. My favorite quiet time is reading, which I can do for hours at one sitting.
As for my mom, she thinks that I am very observant and is quick to the point when I am given a story problem to solve.
My sister Andrea thinks I am really smart, because I know how to do very difficult abacus math. She is only 5 years old, so she does not know a lot of things yet. Maybe it’s good that she stays thinking that way.
I think I am a helpful person, because I enjoy helping others. I feel good about myself when I can help my friends with their math work by explaining each steps on how to solve them.
